How to Use iTunes to Recover an iPhone
Whenever you sync your iPhone to your computer, iTunes automatically creates a backup of the data on your device. ITunes stores these backups on your computer's hard drive. If you ever experience a hard drive failure or other data loss, you can use iTunes to restore the iPhone and recover its contents from a previous backup. You may find this useful if you are experiencing problems with the current state of your iPhone and want to return it to an earlier condition.
