How to Stop the Internet Toolbar From Disappearing

Prevent Internet Explorer's toolbars from disappearing.

Internet Explorer is a Web browser software application created by Microsoft. It runs on the Windows operating system. Internet Explorer's user interface accepts commands by deploying pull-down menus from rows of options called "toolbars." A toolbar may not be visible on screen if it is either disabled or hidden behind another user interface element. You can prevent an Internet Explorer toolbar from disappearing by reconfiguring Internet Explorer.

Instructions

1. Launch Internet Explorer by double-clicking on its desktop icon.

2. Click on "Tools," then select "Toolbars." Locate in the list the toolbar you want to stop from disappearing. Click on its list entry until you see a check mark next to it. That ensures that Internet Explorer will enable and display the toolbar.

3. Click on "Tools," then select "Toolbars" and "Lock the toolbars." That ensures that Internet Explorer keeps displaying the toolbars the way they currently are. It will prevent you from inadvertently moving a toolbar behind another toolbar, thus making it disappear.
