How to Record on HD Recorder
HD video recorders make use of Mini DV tapes to record high-definition video footage for the user. Slide the "Open" switch in the direction of the arrow on your camera to open the tape compartment.

Insert the tape, with the cover facing outward, into the tape compartment. Close the lid.

Remove the lens cap from your camera by pressing the knobs on both sides.

Slide the power switch to the "Tape" setting.

Press the "Record" button to begin recording video footage. Press the "Record" button again to stop.
