How to Configure VoIP on a 3560
The Cisco Catalyst 3560 is an energy efficient, Layer 3 Fast Ethernet switch. It is often used by companies and organizations to manage the power consumption of their network infrastructure and reduce energy costs. The 3560 provides support for a wide variety o f data, including VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol). VoIP uses your network connection to make and receive phone calls on a cheaper rate than a normal telephone or cell phone connection. You can configure VoIP on the Cisco Catalyst 3560 using administrative rights.

Launch your preferred browser.

Enter the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the Cisco Catalyst 3560 switch in the address bar. Note that the default address of the switch is "192.168.0.1." Contact your system administrator if the default IP address doesn't work.

Type your Cisco username and password when prompted. This will take you to the Cisco switch configuration page.

Click the link "VoIP." This will open the configuration screen for your VoIP service.

Check the box that indicates compatibility for your VoIP service. For example, if you use Vonage, check the "Vonage Compatibility" check box. Note that the configuration page will differ from one VoIP service provider to another.

Click "Save Configuration."
