How to Make a Shoe Form
Storing shoes can be tough, especially in limited space. Shoes with flimsy tops are especially difficult to store, as they are easily bent out of shape. A pair of shoe forms can help keep the toes of your shoes from collapsing when stored with other shoes. They help your shoe keep shape when your foot is not in it. With a few simple materials, some basic sewing techniques and less than 10 minutes, you can create a pair of shoe forms to help your shoes stay in great condition.

1
Old socks work especially well for this project. Stuff each sock with a small amount of fiber fill. Leave a small amount of room at the opening to allow for sewing.
-
2
Using the needle and thread, sew up the opening of the sock. Make sure your sewing is tight so the seams do not burst open and release the fiber fill.

Make two small bows (optional) and two loops out of the ribbon. The loops will help you pull the form out of the shoes easily. The bows are decorative and can be omitted if you wish. Sew them to the end of the sock you just sewed up, putting the loop under the bow.

Stuff into the toes of a pair of shoes. The loops can be pulled to help easily remove the forms.
