How to Kill a House Spider
Most spiders are harmless, although some are poisonous. But regardless of what kind they are, most people don't want spiders crawling around their household. Killing a common house spider isn't complicated. You can get rid of one using a few household items and any of a variety of spider insecticides that are available at most hardware and home improvement stores. Does this Spark an idea?

Capture the spider by placing a cup over it. This ensures that it doesn't escape.

Spray an insecticide formulated for getting rid of spiders directly on the spider. Lift the cup up slightly and spray. The insecticide should kill the spider instantly.

Pick up the spider using a paper towel and dispose of it in a trash bag.

Place the trash bag outside in a trash can.

Repeat Steps 1 to 4 for each spider in the house.

Contact a local pest control professional if you notice many spiders coming into your home. You may have a larger problem.
Do not touch a spider, and contact a professional if you fear it may be poisonous.
If the spider is not on the floor, but on a wall or ceiling, spray it directly with the insecticide.
