How to Wash a Down Comforter at the Laundromat
Washing a down comforter is a delicate process that takes the proper knowledge to avoid ruining it entirely. Thankfully, most comforters need washing only sparingly. Though it would be easier to wash from the comfort of your home, a down comforter can be properly washed at a Laundromat. Select a high-capacity washing machine at your local laundry facility. A side-loading machine is more preferable for this job.

Insert your down comforter into the washing machine and select the warm-water option. Also select the "delicates" wash option.

Start the washing cycle and allow the machine to fill with water. Add one load's worth of the laundry detergent to the machine.

Remove the comforter from the washing machine when the cycle is finished and place it into a dryer. Set the dryer to "tumble dry" and the temperature to "low."

Readjust the comforter periodically.

Remove the comforter when it is partially dry, hang it up and all it allow to air dry to completion.
