How to Use an ACCO Hanging Binder

Use an ACCO hanging binder to store your documents.

ACCO's hanging binders are a great way to keep your important business documents secure. Simply hole-punch the documents, if necessary, and attach them to the binder hooks. When you walk around with the binder, the documents will stay firmly in place.

Things You'll Need

  • Flat surface
  • Hole-punched documents

Instructions

    • 1

Set the binder on top of a flat surface, such as a table. Open the binder on the table so the entire binder is flat against the surface.

    • 2

Locate the metal latches at the top and bottom of the middle metal frame of the folder. Press both latches gently downward until they snap into place and the hooks open up.

    • 3

Insert the hole-punched documents you want to store into the three hooks. Do not exceed the binder's sheet capacity; your ACCO binder holds between 175 and 480 sheets of paper, depending upon the model. (Model information is listed on the plastic sticker on the side of the binder.)

    • 4

Lift both latches up carefully until they snap into place and the hooks close around the documents. Lift the front cover up and close it around the documents. You can now carry your documents around securely inside your binder.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the pouches to store documents that you don't want to hole-punch or that you want easy access to.

  • Be careful when using the latches; keep your hands away from the hooks and apply pressure to the latches gently to avoid hurting your hands.
