Instructions

    • 1

Purchase glass cylinders in three different sizes and pillar candles of corresponding heights. The candles can be white or can match your wedding colors. You will need three cylinders and three candles per table.

    • 2

Slide pillar candles inside each glass cylinder and place one of each size on every table. Arrange them in the center of the table in whatever way you feel looks best and suits the theme and style of your wedding.

    • 3

Fill each cylinder halfway full with smooth river stones around the base of the candles. You can purchase stones at your local craft store. The stones will help your candles stay upright and add texture and visual interest to your centerpieces. For a beach wedding, exchange the stones for seashells to help emphasize your theme. Marbles or crystals that match your wedding colors are also an option.

    • 4

Arrange flower blossoms (that match your wedding colors or theme) on the table at the base of the cylinders. Trim the stems off these flowers so that only the blossom is visible. Include leaves, greens and smaller flower blossoms of an accent color to fill in your centerpiece and add visual interest.

    • 5

Scatter a handful of loose river stones (or seashells, marbles or crystals) on the table. Place them so that some are right next to the flowers and glass cylinders and some are farther (up to a foot or two) away from the center. Scatter extra flower petals or small blossoms around as well.

    • 6

Light the candles during your reception if your venue will allow it. The flames will add intimacy and romance to the event.
