In Firefox, the "Private Browsing" mode is a built-in feature that allows you to browse the Internet without saving information about the websites you visit, content you download and the searches you perform. By default, Firefox remembers and stores browsing information so you can review the same content quickly when you want to. If you are no longer interested in using Private Browsing, disable it and allow your browser to store your history.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Tools" menu on the top of your browsing window. A new submenu launches.

    • 2

Scroll down the submenu and click the "Stop Private Browsing" option. This option only appears when your browser is in "Private Browsing" mode.

    • 3

Look at the top of your browsing window. The Firefox window title should no longer say "Private Browsing."
