Assembly Instructions for Intex Pools
The Intex Easy Set pool is unique in its design because it does not have a frame outside of the pool liner. Instead, the soft liner is supported by the air in an inflatable ring and the tension of the water in the pool. Set up the pool inside fence to both prevent the risk of drowning and limit the liner's risk of puncture and collapse. A soft-sided Intex pool that is not set up appropriately may have weak sides that collapse under pressure. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Level the ground where the pool will be set up. It is important that all the soil under the pool's floor is level when setting up the pool, so level an area slightly larger than the pool's diameter.
-
2
Remove rocks, trash, sticks and other sharp objects from the leveled area. These objects pose a puncture risk to your pool liner.
-
-
3
Spread the ground cover cloth across the area you leveled to set up the pool. This gives a layer of protection between the ground and the pool liner, and can prevent grass stubs puncturing, or growing grass penetrating the main liner.
-
4
Open and spread the pool liner and spread it on top of the ground cover. Position the liner so that the drain points away from buildings, so that it can drain water away to a safe location.
-
5
Spread out the pool liner, so that it has a smooth center and a round perimeter. Always lift the liner when moving it. Never drag the liner.
-
6
Pump up the top ring of the pool with a manual pump. Intex manufactures a pump designed for this purpose, but other hand or foot pumps are also appropriate. Never use a compressor to inflate the ring which can damage the seams.
-
7
Attach the pool filtration system. Each system will come with a distinct set of instructions and set up procedures, It is essential that those directions be followed exactly to avoid the risk of electrical shock and to insure effective pool filtration.
-
8
Fill the pool with 1 inch of water to check to floor of the pool. Look at the water line, watching for a slope. If there is any slope to the water line, the pool should be drained and releveled before proceeding.
-
9
Push out on the pool liner at the point where the floor and pool walls meet to smooth out any remaining wrinkles. If there are wrinkles in the ground cover, pull from opposite sides of the cloth to pull the cloth tight until it is smooth.
-
10
Fill the pool. As the water levels rise the walls will come up and expand.
