After the issue has been resolved, the computer may need to be reset with an OBD II scan tool, in order to remove the error codes.

Things You'll Need

  • OBD-II diagnostic scan tool
  • Plug the OBD II scan tool connector into the socket to the left and slightly below the steering wheel.

  • Turn the ignition switch to "ON."

  • Press the power button on the scan tool, if it does not come on automatically. Wait for the tool to complete the scanning process.

  • Press the "Reset" or "Erase" button on the scan tool to reset the computer codes.
