Paint the bathroom. A fresh coat of paint for a bathroom should cost only around $30 and will add new life to the room. 3
Buy a new shower curtain. A new shower curtain can give your bathroom a completely new look and can also be a healthy addition. Buy a shower curtain that has an inside vinyl layer to help prevent mold.
-
4
Buy some furniture for your bathroom. A clothes hamper, a towel rack and a small vanity will go a long way toward polishing up your bathroom. Choose items that are easy to wipe down in a brown or black finish.
-
5
Add accessories such as a silver waste can, toothbrush holder and soap dispenser. These items will give your bathroom a contemporary feel plus give you a place to store your toothbrush.
-
6
Add a door hook to the back of the bathroom door. This can be used for towels or a change of clothes.
-
7
Hang a full-length mirror on the back of the door or on one of the walls. This will eliminate you needing to stand on the bathtub in order to make sure your shoes match your shirt.
-
8
Buy some new towels, and display a hand towel by the sink and two bath towels on the towel rack.
-
9
Buy new bath rugs to match the towels and the paint. Place one rug in front of the shower, and one in front of the sink. You might also want to consider putting a rug around the toilet and covering the toilet seat.
-
10
Buy a new shower head. Consider a silver or brass fixture in a wide, contemporary design.
-
