How to Get Connected to the Internet Using Wireless
Wireless Internet connections are available in many locations, such as a home wireless network or wireless Internet offered by businesses. As long as your computer has a wireless network card, you can connect to these networks, if you know the network name and the password. Not all wireless networks use security, and you can connect to these without having a password for that network.

Click the "Wireless Network" icon in the system tray; it's usually located in the right-hand corner of your screen. The wireless network icon has one of two graphics, either signal bars or a broadcasting computer monitor.

Select the network's name from the list. If you are using your own home network, this would be the name you created when you set up the wireless network. If you are using Wi-Fi at a business or hotel, you need to ask one of the employees what the network information is.
