How to Gather Base Herbs in "Mabinogi"
"Mabinogi" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based in South Korea. It is available for free, with the ability to pay for additional items and gold. The game is based off Welsh and Celtic mythology and allows characters to learn combat, music and trade skills. The Herbalism skill in "Mabinogi" is available to humans, giants and night elves through training. Herbalism allows you to recognize and collect rare herbs found in the most remote dungeons of the game.

Complete the "Healer's House Part-Time Job" quest --- available from Dilys in Tir Chonaill and from Manus in Dunbarton --- 10 times if you are a human. Enter the "Healer's House" found in these cities, talk to Dilys or Manus, and select the "Part-Time Job" option. The tasks are different every day, but usually require you to visit another building in town. Your quest giver will then give you a quest to obtain a base herb. Elves and giants have to find only their respective skill trainers in their starting zones to learn the skill. Elves talk to Atrata in Filia, and giants talk to Kirine in Vales to unlock the herbalism skill.

Go into one of the dungeons named in the quest log. Attack monsters with your basic combat skills until one drops a base herb or you find a green patch on the ground. Click the green patch to attempt to gather the herb. At the novice level, most of your herbs will be destroyed by your low skill level.

Talk to the person who gave you the quest to turn in the completed quest. You will learn the herbalism skill. At the starter rank, you will be able to identify only base herbs, although you can pick bloody, sunlight and mana herbs if you manage to find them.

Base herbs can be found only in Tir Chonaill, Dugald Aisle, Dunbarton, Gairech, Ceo Island, Ant Hell and Solea.
