How to Replace Heil Furnace Filters

Furnaces manufactured by the Heil company come in varying sizes and styles, each with a distinct set of features and recommended uses. Every Heil furnace uses air filters to prevent dust and debris from circulating through the ventilation system. Some Heil models use permanent filters that can be cleaned and reused. Other models use disposable filters. If disposable filters are used, they should be replaced when they become clogged. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the end cap panel off of the bottom front area of the Heil furnace. Set the panel aside.

    • 2

Pull the old filter out of the filter rack and discard.

    • 3

Slide the new filter into the filter rack. Make sure the air flow indicator arrow printed on the side of the filter matches the air flow indication sticker next to the filter rack.

    • 4

Reposition the end cap panel. Press down on the end cap panel until it is securely in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Heil recommends inspecting the filter at least once a month to see if it needs to be replaced.
