How to Turn Off Fast User Switching in Vista
Windows Vista's Fast User Switching allows you to quickly switch between user accounts without shutting down or closing out your files and programs. This makes switching between accounts convenient when sharing your computer with multiple users. However, if another user shuts down the computer while your account is still open, you lose any unsaved progress. Therefore, you may open to disable fast user switching to gain exclusive control over the system.
