A book trailer is no different than a movie trailer. Trailers in general help you drum up attention for your book and get people interested in buying and reading it. Book trailers are another form of publicity. Good book trailers contain photos and text that the viewer finds intriguing and interesting. Create your own book trailer using Windows MovieMaker.

      Go to a video-sharing website such as Youtube and type "Book Trailers" in the search box. View other book trailers for suggestions and to give you an idea of what to include for your own book trailer.

      Write a script for the trailer. Book trailers typically consist of a series of images and texts. Decide what images you want to use to portray your books. Look for the images and download them. Use search engines to find photos that are royalty-free, or select them from your own photo album. There are also photo websites where you can pay for photos. Right-click on the photo and select "Save As." Save the photos on your desktop for easy access.

      Double-click on the Windows MovieMaker desktop icon to launch the software. Most Windows computers have this software installed automatically on their computer for free.

      Click "File" and "Import Media" and browse for the photos on your desktop.

      Use your cursor to drag and drop the photo around the page. Click on the photo and click "Edit" and "Titles and Credits." Type the text you want to include with the image.

      Click "Play" to review your video. Save the file on your desktop.

      Go to a video-sharing website and log into your account. Click "Upload." Select the file from your desktop and click "OK."
