How to Delete Add-Ons for Firefox

One of the popular features of the Firefox Web browser is the ability to install add-ons, software that enhances and extends the browser's capabilities. Too many add-ons can sometimes cause the browser to be sluggish, and add-ons from unapproved sites may contain malware. It's a good idea to occasionally review your installed add-ons and remove those you no longer use or that may pose a threat to your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch "Firefox." Click "Tools" and select "Add-ons."

    • 2

Click the "Extensions" tab to view add-ons that are currently installed.

    • 3

Click the add-on you want to remove, and select "Uninstall."

    • 4

Click "Uninstall" again to confirm that you want to delete the add-on.

    • 5

Close "Firefox," and open it again to complete the removal process.
