How to Grab the Title Bar When You Can't See It

Sometimes, when dealing with many open application windows or multiple monitors, the windows can become partially or fully off-screen. With the window hidden off-screen, it might seem impossible to grab the window and bring it back into view. Luckily, there's a way around this using a keyboard trick and the "Move" command that will pop the window right back, front and center.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Alt" and "Tab" keys simultaneously to select the application whose window you cannot see or move.

    • 2

Right-click the hidden window's taskbar entry, select "Move." The cursor changes to a "Move" cursor, two intersecting double-headed arrows.

    • 3

Press any one of the arrow keys and move the mouse. The hidden window pops back into view. Once in view, you can grab the title bar and move the window around as your normally would.
