How to Decorate a Quiche
Quiche is a simple dish comprised of egg custard combined with chopped meats, vegetables and cheese baked in a pastry shell. It is a popular food to make for a potluck or family brunch, mainly because it can be made with whatever ingredients you have in your refrigerator.
If you have ever made a quiche of your own, you may have found yourself disappointed at its lack of visual appeal. Decorating your quiche is one simple way to make it look as good as it tastes.

Prepare and bake your quiche according to the recipe. You can decorate a homemade quiche or a frozen quiche.

While the quiche is in the oven, cut a red onion into thin, crescent shapes by cutting the onion in half, laying the onion flat side down, and cutting the onion lengthwise using vertical cuts. Cut the first three inches off of the top of a bunch of asparagus.

Remove the quiche from the oven five minutes before it is finished cooking. Arrange the sliced onions and asparagus tops in a decorative pattern. The onions can be used to make a pinwheel and the asparagus tips can be arranged in many pleasing shapes, including a star. The asparagus and red onion are both bright, pleasing colors that will look nice even when cooked.

Return the quiche to the oven for the remaining five minutes. Remove and cool. Be sure to bring the quiche to the table before slicing it to show off your decorative patterns.

Try using olives and thinly sliced cherry tomatoes to create a fun polka-dotted quiche.
