How to Stop the Chinese Gift Giving Cycle
The Chinese Gift Giving Cycle is a popular game played at holiday parties, such as Christmas parties. In this gift-giving activity, participants bring a present to the party and get to draw a present from the general pile. If a person doesn't want to choose a present from the pile, he can take a present that someone else has already opened. Then the person whose present was taken gets to choose another gift. This can turn into a never-ending cycle unless you implement certain rules and procedures. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Set a basic rule that a gift only can change hands three times before it is considered "dead." A "dead" gift cannot be taken again by a different person.
-
2
Place your gift out of plain view once you open it. Others are more likely to forget about your gift if they can't see it clearly. If no one takes your present, then you've helped to stop the cycle.
