Tell the customer service representative that you would like to stop payment on a transaction. Provide the representative with information about the transaction. You will need to give the check number or bill pay number, the date of the check or bill pay transaction and the amount of the transaction.

Verify if the check for the transaction has posted to your account. The customer service representative will determine if the check has already posted. If it has, you cannot stop payment on it.

Wait while the customer service representative stops payment on the transaction. The representative should let you know if the bank will assess a fee for the stop payment service. Depending on the type of accounts you have at FSNB, you may have to pay to stop payment on a transaction. The representative will complete the stop payment request while you are on the phone.
