How to Make Bookmarks With Xyron Machines
Using a Xyron to laminate can open up an entirely new world of crafting possibilities. The design and creation of something as simple as a bookmark can be brought to life and completed using the Xyron machine to laminate and protect it. Simply create the bookmark of your dreams and then finish the job with a laminating cartridge in your Xyron and you'll never lose a page in a book again.

1
Cut a strip of cardstock to the size you want your bookmark to be. Typically, bookmarks are approximately 2 by 5 inches or 2 by 6 inches, but you can adjust this according to your needs.
-
2
Decorate the cardstock. You can decorate with anything you like. Stickers, drawings, writing, glitter and jewels work well for decorations. You can decorate both sides of the bookmark or just one. If the bookmark is being made for a child, you may want to add his or her name somewhere on the bookmark.

3
Ensure that you have laminating material in your Xyron machine.
-
4
Feed the entire bookmark through the Xyron machine. This will create a lamination over the bookmark to protect it.
-
5
Go around the edges of the bookmark with a bone folder or tool with a rounded edge, pressing down to ensure that the adhesive is sticking to the edges.
-
6
Cut out the bookmark.
-
7
Punch a hole in the top of the bookmark and tie a ribbon through it to finish.
