DIY Stylus Pen
Using a stylus can help protect and prolong the life of your touch-screen device. It allows you to control your device without damaging or marking the screen by using your fingers. Whether you have lost your stylus or your touch-screen device was sold without one, making your own stylus pen is a quick and easy solution. Using some inexpensive household items, you can create your own DIY stylus in a matter of minutes.

1
Take one of the snap fasteners from the packet and place it on a flat surface such as a table or a desk. Make sure the side with the smooth, rounded edges is facing upward.
-
2
Tie a series of knots at the end of your piece of string until it makes a single large knot.
-
-
3
Thread the string through the hole in the snap fastener. The knot should stop it from falling off. If it passes over the knot, remove the snap fastener and tie more knots to make the large knot bigger.
-
4
Secure the knotted string to the snap fastener using a strong glue.
-
5
Screw the bottom section off your pen and thread the string up and through the bottom chamber where the tip of the pen would be.
-
6
Pull the string all the way through the pen chamber until the snap fastener is covering the hole at the bottom of the chamber.
-
7
Reconnect the two parts of the pen, trapping the string between them before removing the excess string using a pair of scissors.
-
8
Control your touch-screen device using the DIY stylus by pressing the pen against the screen. The snap fastener should tilt freely as it moves across the screen.
