How to Make Texts Bigger on a Remote Desktop

With the Remote Desktop feature, Windows users have the ability to control other PCs over a network connection. When using Remote Desktop with Windows XP, Vista or 7, you may have trouble seeing and reading text on the remote system's screen. To resolve this issue, you should adjust the Remote Desktop display options and increase the screen's resolution so that the text will appear bigger.
Step 1
Open the "Start" menu on your PC and go to the All Programs list.
Step 2
Expand the "Accessories" submenu and click on "Remote Desktop Connection."
Step 3
Click on the "Options" button to view the advanced Remote Desktop settings.
Step 4
Go to the "Display" tab.
Step 5
Move the slider in the Display Configuration section to the far right to increase the size of the remote system's screen and text.
Step 6
Click the "Options" button again to hide the advanced settings.
Step 7
Enter the remote system's IP address or hostname in the "Computer" field.
Step 8
Click "Connect" to start a new Remote Desktop session with the specified computer. When the virtual environment loads, the text on the remote system's screen will appear bigger.
