The Krusteaz company was founded in 1932. The company initially made simple pie-crust mixes. Over the years the Krusteaz company went on to create cookie, brownie, bread, muffin and pancake mix. The directions on how to use Krusteaz are provided on the box of your mix. For longer storage, Krusteaz can be put into a zip-lock bag or airtight container, but this normally means that the box will be thrown away. Making Krusteaz pancakes is a simple process, when following the directions.
Things You'll Need
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cup
- Krusteaz pancake mix
Measure a cup and a half of Krusteaz Pancake Mix. Pour this into your mixing bowl.
Crack one egg into your bowl.
Measure out one cup of milk and add it to the other ingredients in your bowl. Water can be substituted for the milk, if a lighter pancake is desired.
Mix these ingredients together with your whisk. Make sure you remove all lumps from the batter. This should yield 6 to 8, 6-inch pancakes.
Tips & Warnings
- If you like thinner pancakes, you can add more milk to the mix. Be careful not to add to much milk, as the pancakes will not rise.
- If you need to make more pancakes, but do not wish to double the recipe, you will want to add another egg as you add more dry mix and milk. The egg will help keep your pancakes together.
