How to Let Him Know I Love Him

Tell him you love him with actions and words.

Letting your man know you love him is more than just using those three little words. Men will recognize your actions as outward expressions of your feelings. Therefore, it is important to match your actions with your words when you tell him you love him the first time and every time. He may not immediately respond verbally, but heed his actions as it just may be difficult for him to vocalize his feelings, according to Dr. Phil McGraw, a well-known relationship expert.

Instructions

1. Plan a time and place to tell him. The atmosphere should be peaceful and quiet without interruptions from electronic devices, friends and family. Also try to plan for a time when his mind won't be distracted such as right after work or before a big event. Let him know the occasion is special.

2. Purchase a gift for him. This should be something he has been wanting and will indicate to him that you listen and show him that you care for him. It will make him feel special.

3. Dress for the occasion and the place. Consider wearing an outfit you know he likes but that is not too revealing so as to distract him from the emotional aspect of the moment.

4. Dine at a restaurant that serves his favorite food. Alternatively you can order in or cook his favorite meal for him at home. If dining at home, take the extra time to set up the table as if it were a romantic restaurant.

5. Allow him to lead the conversation at the beginning of the meal. This will give him a chance to get any distractions out of his mind before the big moment. Once he's relaxed and the conversation is upbeat, present the gift and let him know how you feel about him.

6. Lead the topic with expressing your thoughts on his personality and your appreciation of how he treats you. Tell him what he means to you and that you love him. Do not push for a response but allow a moment for anything he may choose to say. You will be able to read his body language and facial expressions to know if he is affected favorably by your love for him.
