How to Put More Than One iPod in iTunes
Apple iTunes, a digital media software package, allows users to store, listen and access digital media files, namely music, movies, television shows and podcasts. The software comes pre-installed on all Macs and can be downloaded for Windows for free. iTunes also provides a conduit for users to sync Apple digital media products, such as iPods, iPhones and iPads, to computers.

1
Confirm you have the most recent version of iTunes installed. On a Mac, select "Software Update" from under the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Windows users can select "Check For Update" from the "Help" menu. You can also download the latest version of iTunes from Apple's website. Allow the update to proceed uninterrupted.

2
Restart your computer, if required after the update. Launch iTunes and allow it to open completely. Attach your first iPod using its own USB connector.

3
Wait for iTunes to recognize that there's an iPod attached. iTunes prompts you to first configure brand new iPods, or those that have been reset to factory defaults. Configuring an iPod includes naming the iPod, choosing how to manage the media files and setting other preferences. You have the option of reformatting the iPod, if it was previously synced with a different iTunes library. If you don't plan on syncing the iPod to the other computer again, reset it to the original factory settings when the configuration prompt appears.

Repeat the process for the second iPod. Contrary to popular belief, you can sync multiple iPods to one iTunes library. It's the reverse that is discouraged -- attempting to sync one iPod to multiple computers.
