How to Rename Photos From Folders
If you want to rename multiple photos from folders all at once, you can make this happen with built-in controls in Windows. This allows you to change the individual file names from a group of photos to one particular name with a series of numbers after each one to designate each individual photo. This way you can make it easier to find and identify a group of related photos.

1
Click "Start" and select "My Pictures," or whichever folder you want to use.

Click "Edit" in the folder with the pictures you want. Click "Select all." This highlights all of your photos in the folder.

3
Right-click on the highlighted files and select "Rename." The first file in the series becomes ready for editing.

4
Type in the new name you want, but make sure you put the file extension on the end. For example "Picture.jpg" for a JPEG file.

Press "Enter" to complete the edit. This will change all files in the folder to the new name, and it will also automatically assign numbers for each individual photo.
