How to Change Your Message Alert on the Pantech Impact

A message alert is also known as a message ringtone. This is the audio played when your cell phone receives a text message. The Pantech Impact, like most other cell phones, lets you customize this alert in the same way you would customize a traditional ringtone. The Impact comes with a number of preloaded tones you can set to sound when you get a new text message.

Instructions

1. Push the "Menu" key and select "Settings."

2. Select "Profile" then select "Normal." Push the soft key for "Edit."

3. Scroll down and select "Message Sound." Select "Alert."

4. Browse through the available tones for you message alert. Push "OK" when you arrive at a tone you want to set. When you highlight a tone while browsing, it previews automatically.
