A BlackBerry lets you get your e-mail while on the go.

BlackBerry devices can retrieve and store messages from up to 10 different e-mail accounts, allowing you to get out of the office, or the house, without worrying about missing anything important. Over time, these messages can build up, taking up valuable memory on your device and cluttering up the inbox. While you can always delete messages one at a time, BlackBerrys can mass delete e-mail in two different ways. The first way will let you select a range of consecutive e-mail to delete, and the second way will simply delete everything prior to a selected date.

Instructions

  1. Delete Several E-mails in a Row

    • 1

Go into the e-mail account on your BlackBerry.

    • 2

Scroll down to the first e-mail that you want to delete. Press and hold the shift/caps key at the bottom of the BlackBerry keyboard. Scroll down to the last e-mail that you want to delete, and then release the shift/caps key.

    • 3

Press the BlackBerry key, which is directly to the left of the trackball or trackpad. Scroll down to "Delete messages" in the pop-up menu and select it.

    • 4

Scroll up to "Delete" and select it. When the hourglass disappears, the selected e-mail will be gone.

Delete All E-mail Prior to a Selected Date

    • 5

Go into the e-mail account where you want to delete e-mail.

    • 6

Scroll down to the desired date. You will delete all e-mail from this date and prior to this date using this process. You can use the "P" and "N" keys to quickly scroll through the dates, instead of using the trackball to scroll through each message.

    • 7

Press the BlackBerry key, which is directly to the left of the trackball or trackpad.

    • 8

Scroll down to "Delete Prior" and select it. Then scroll to and select "Delete." Once the hourglass goes away, all e-mail on this date and prior to this date will be gone.
