How to Check My Dial Up Connection Speed
Dial up connections are provided by some internet service providers (ISPs) to enable users to connect over standard phone lines. Dial up connections generally utilize a standard 56k modem. Several web sites allow users to test their internet connection speeds by running free test through their sites. Most speed tests cater to broadband users. However, a few sites will test dial up connection speeds as well.

Open a web browser and navigate to one of the dial up connection test sites (see References).

Select the Dial Up option, if present.

Select either "Text" or "Shuffle" for the speed test type.

Click the "Run Test" or "Start" button. The speed test will run and the results will be provided on the resulting page.
