A baby shower can have games to make it more fun.

When it's getting closer to the moment when you will be welcoming a new member of your family, it's time to start planning the baby shower. A baby shower gets the new mother everything she needs to start caring for her baby after he arrives. A big part of many baby showers are the baby games. Baby games are played to help entertain the guests. You can also give out prizes or make gift opening more interesting. Decorating for the baby games can be an enjoyable part of setting up the baby shower.

Instructions

Figure out which baby games you want to play at the shower. Some games can be played by everyone at once, while others can be set up in stations. For example, a game of baby Bingo during the gift opening part of the shower is played by everyone. A game of pregnancy Twister, where participants wear a faux-pregnant belly, is played by a few guests at a time. Try to tie the games you choose into your decorations, such as a game where you try to identify people you know in baby pictures, while also using those pictures to hang around the room.

Set up the games that are not played by the group in designated areas. Using the pregnancy Twister example, you would have a designated game station for this particular baby game. Place all the supplies you would need to play the game at each station. With games like Twister that take a lot of room to play, consider taking them outside if the weather permits, using the outdoors to add to the decor, while also bring in cloud, flower or animal decorations that fit in with a nature theme.

Gather the supplies you will need to pass out for the group games. For example, using the example of baby Bingo, you would print out special blank Bingo cards, which can be decorated with pictures of the mother-to-be or generic baby pictures. You will also need writing utensils for the guests to full in their Bingo cards with guesses about what gifts the mother-to-be will receive, as well as Bingo markers. Another option is to coordinate your games and decorations, such as floral-patterned Bingo cards that match the floral arrangements on the tables.

Place all supplies needed for group games and at individual game stations in pretty baskets. Decorate the baskets with bows that match the color theme of the baby shower. This will pull together the other decorations in the room with your games and game stations.
