Instructions

    • 1

Gather your sea salt, oils and magnesium chloride. Purchase magnesium chloride hexahydrate at your local holistic or natural foods store and find bath oils at your local store or beauty supply store. Measure out 5 pounds of Celtic sea salt or 2 cups of Epsom salt, and 1 1/2 pounds of magnesium chloride hexahydrate and set aside.

    • 2

Fill bathtub with hot water that reads 90 degrees Fahrenheit (or to a comfortable temperature for your skin) for Celtic sea salt and use lukewarm water if using Epsom salts. Add a few drops of rosemary, peppermint or lavender oil to the tub and stir in your bath salts. Ensure that the bath salts have fully dissolved in the water before getting into the bathtub.

    • 3

Dim the lights in the bathroom and play music as an optional relaxation technique. Place a bottle of water by the bathtub.

    • 4

Soak in the tub for 25 minutes or longer to completely detoxify the skin. Remember that the body does not have to soak for long periods to be detoxified. Drink water during and after the bath to stay hydrated. Get out of the bath and pat your skin dry and wrap your body in a warm robe.
