Uninstalling Norton Internet Security
Norton Internet Security keeps you safe from downloaded viruses and attachments while surfing the Web. You can also use Internet Security to help protect your identity, avoid spam and guard against fraud. If you've installed another security program and need to remove Norton Internet Security, you may notice that your usual methods of uninstalling from the Control Panel don't work. That's because you'll need to use the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall Norton products from your computer.

Download the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton website. If you try and remove the program using the Add/Remove Programs tool in your Control Panel, some components of the program may not be uninstalled.

Run the program once it has downloaded and choose "Next." Select the circle beside the license agreement acceptance in order to move forward with the removal process. Enter the security check words and click "Next."

Click "Next" to initiate the removal of your Norton Internet Security. Once you begin the process, you cannot stop it, so be sure that you want to remove the program completely.

Wait for the process to complete, then restart your computer for the changes to take place.
