How to Log on to an FTP Site on a Mac

File transport protocol (FTP) allows you to log in to a remote computer and download and upload files. Mac computers come with Safari installed, and you can use this browser to log in to the FTP site. FTP is typically used by web host providers, so you must log in to FTP to upload and manage your website's web page files.
