How to Remove the Toolbar in IE 7
When using a smaller monitor, an excess of toolbars significantly decreases your screen real estate. Applications such as Internet Explorer 7 use a variety of built-in toolbars as well as third-party application toolbars. These toolbars can be removed to increase the visual space available to Internet Explorer, allowing you to see more of your web pages and less of the icons you may not even use.

Right-click the toolbar to display a list of active and inactive toolbars installed.

Click to add or remove toolbars.

Uncheck "Classic Menu" to remove the "File/Edit/View" standard menu.

Uncheck "Lock the Toolbars." Click and drag any remaining toolbars to reposition them.

Tips & Warnings
The toolbars can be customized to use large or small icons, and certain commands can be added or removed. Right-click a toolbar, hover over "Customize Command Bar" and use the different settings to customize your toolbar to your liking.
You can also make IE go into full-screen mode by pressing Alt-Enter. Press Alt-Enter again to go back to windows view.
