How to Turn the 3G Symbol Off on the Pantech Impact Phone

The Pantech Impact allows you to edit profiles to disable the 3G.

Most modern cell phones operate with 3G technology. This refers to the third-generation radio telecommunication network provided by International Mobile Telecommunications--2000 or IMT-2000. With 3G, cell phone users have access to wireless telecommunications. This includes telephone, Internet and video calls, or any other features requiring an Internet connection. Using data through 3G can be expensive, so if you're not using it, disable the 3G on your Pantech Impact.

Instructions

1. Click "Menu" on the Pantech.

2. Tap "My Stuff" from the "Menu" section.

3. Tap "Applications."

4. Navigate to "Profiles" and tap "Edit."

5. Select the "Disable 3G" option and tap "OK." Tap "Save" to save the profile.
