How to Use an Enzo Milano

How to Use an Enzo Milano thumbnail
Create natural-looking spiral curls with your Enzo Milano

Unlike many traditional curling irons, the Enzo Milano curling iron is clipless. Without a clip to absorb generated heat, the barrel heats more evenly. It also allows more maneuverability up and down the length of the rod itself. But the unique look of a clipless curling iron such as the Enzo Milano can make first time use a little daunting. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      Plug in the Enzo Milano.

    • 2

Turn it on and wait for the indicator light to signal that the iron has reached optimal heat.

    • 3

Gather a section of hair that is 2 to 3 inches wide and about 1 cm thick.

    • 4

Hold the section of hair firmly, roughly 2 inches from the end.

    • 5

Place the barrel at the base of the section near the root, but not directly touching your scalp. Hold the Enzo Milano so that the tip is facing down.

    • 6

Wrap the section of hair around the barrel of the curling iron, working down the barrel as you wrap. Do not overlap wrapped sections. Slide your hand down the end of the hair section as you near the end. Stop sliding down until you get to the tip of your hair.

    • 7

Hold your hair at the tip to keep your hair wrapped firmly around the Enzo Milano for 3 to 5 seconds.

    • 8

Release the tip of your hair and pull the Enzo Milano free of the curled section of hair.

    • 9

Gently pull the tip of the curled section of hair to loosen the curl.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Enzo Milano comes with a heat-resistant glove. If you wish, place it on the hand that will be holding the section of hair as you curl. The glove is great for shielding your hand from the curling iron's heat. However, some users find that it reduces dexterity and choose to curl without it.

  • Clip back the hair around the section that you are not curling. It will help keep flyaways from getting in the way.
