The Correct Way to Store Earphones

Headphones should be stored properly.

The right headphones can make all the difference when listening to your personal audio devices. On top of purchasing quality headphones, it's equally important to store them properly, thus ensuring lasting use. There are ways to store your headphones to protect the cord and keep them clean. And, if you store your headphones properly, you'll know that they won't be prone to damage.

Instructions

1. Unplug your headphones from the audio unit to which it is connected and wrap the cord around your hand. Leave about six inches of the cable hanging off the end.

2. Remove the cable bundle from your hand and wrap the remaining length of cable around the middle of the bundle.

3. Slide the end of the cable through the bundle to secure the tie.

4. Place your headphones in a cloth pouch or store them in a compartment on or near your audio device.
