How to Don a Gas Mask
Gas masks are devices created to protect you from inhaling toxic gas fumes, from chemical or biological terrorism or other unexpected events. Putting on a gas mask properly is absolutely crucial because it's actually quite easy to use it the wrong way, which would cancel out its benefits and leave you still in danger. Hold the gas mask by the side straps with the inside of the mask facing you.

Tilt your chin upward and place it into the mask first, following with your face.

Pull the straps up and over your head and slide them back as far as they will go. If necessary, adjust the straps so that they fit snugly around your head.

Tips & Warnings
Do not store your gas mask by hanging it by the straps.
Never pull the chin of the mask up while removing it; instead, slip the straps over your head and pull the mask down and away from your face.
