How to Clean a Gazebo Roof

Gazebos offer a place of shade and rest in an outdoor setting. They are often found in a backyard area, in gardens, parks and country clubs and often appear octagonal in shape. These structures are typically constructed of wood, or iron to better withstand the elements. A roof provides shade and is often the portion of the gazebo to get the most dirty.   • Ladder
  • Soft-bristle brush
  • Mild detergent
  • Water hose
  • Hand scrubber

Instructions

    • 1

      Fill a bucket with warm water and several capfuls of mild detergent.

      Soak the soft-bristle brush into the warm water with detergent.

    • 3

      Place the ladder below the gazebo roof and step up onto it to reach the top of the gazebo roof.

      Hang the bucket of warm water and detergent from a hook on the side of the ladder.

    • 5

      Dip the brush into the bucket.

    • 6

      Scrub down the roof using the scrub brush and mild detergent solution.

    • 7

      Reposition yourself and the ladder around the gazebo to clean the entire roof.

    • 8

      Rinse down the gazebo using a water hose once you are finished scrubbing the surface.
