  • Soft cloth
  • Lacquer thinner
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Water
  • Liquid seam sealer

      Put lacquer thinner on a soft cloth. You can also simply wet the cloth with liquid dish soap and water, if you prefer not to use the lacquer thinner.

      Wipe clean the surface of the vinyl floor where the scratch is located, using the cloth. Allow the floor sufficient time to completely dry.

      Squeeze a thin bead of seam sealer from the tube into the scratch. Keep all foot traffic away from that spot on the floor until the sealer dries completely. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for drying times.
