How to Fix Scratches From Vinyl Floors
If a scratch or damage occurs in vinyl tile, the least complicated repair method is to simply replace the individual tile. These scratches occur due to a variety different causes, including damage from furniture legs. A scratch that occurs in sheet vinyl flooring does not necessarily mean that you now need to replace the entire floor. A scratch is normally a much quicker repair than fixing a tear or gouge. Put lacquer thinner on a soft cloth. You can also simply wet the cloth with liquid dish soap and water, if you prefer not to use the lacquer thinner.

Wipe clean the surface of the vinyl floor where the scratch is located, using the cloth. Allow the floor sufficient time to completely dry.

Squeeze a thin bead of seam sealer from the tube into the scratch. Keep all foot traffic away from that spot on the floor until the sealer dries completely. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for drying times.
