How to Design a Newsletter in Publisher 2007

Designing a newsletter in Publisher 2007 can be done by using the right and left task pane that provides the design options. This pane appears when using the Newsletter template. Users can customize the font type and size, newsletter size, color scheme and contact information. They can also change the template default images as they design and customize their newsletters. The design changes must be saved so they are retained in the revised Publisher 2007 newsletter.

      Open Publisher 2007 and click the "Newsletter" icon in the "Getting Started With Publisher 2007" pane. Select a design layout for the newsletter in the center pane. Customize the color scheme, contact information, font and page size in the right "Customize" pane. Click "Create." The newsletter opens.

      Use the left "Page Options" tab to select the page design. Change the newsletter color scheme by selecting the left "Color Scheme" tab. Pick from a list of available color schemes. Once you click the scheme, it is applied to the newsletter.

      Select a font type to apply to the newsletter by clicking the left "Font Scheme" tab. Change the page orientation by clicking the lower left "Newsletter Option" tab.

      Add content to the newsletter. Highlight the default text and type your own personalized content in the newsletter. Right-click default images and add your own by selecting "Change Picture." Browse your computer and locate the image you want to use. Click the image and the "Open" button. The image replaces the default template image.

      Save the changes by clicking the "Save" icon on the Quick Access Toolbar.
