How to Put Skins on Your Phones
Skins for cell phones are adhesive coverings that go on both the front and back of the phone to cover it entirely. Cell phone skins are available for a variety of different phone models, such as the iPhone and BlackBerry phones. Skins typically include some type of artwork or text, which allows the user to customize a phone. Applying skins to your phone is something that you can easily do on your own.

Power off your phone. If your phone has a lock or hold switch, put it in the lock or hold position. If not, remove the battery from the phone. This is to prevent the phone from coming on while you are applying the skins. Wipe off the phone to remove any fingerprints once you are done.

Put ¼ tsp. of liquid soap and 10 ounces of water into a spray bottle or dish. Mix the soap and water together so that the soap is completely dissolved in the water. Stick with a mild soap for the best results.

Dip your fingertips in the solution, or spray them with the bottle, and remove the skin from the liner. Start with the skin for the front of the phone and then move onto the rear of the phone. The solution prevents your fingers from sticking to the skins. Wet the adhesive side of the skin.

Shake any excess solution off the skin so that only a thin layer remains. Once you do this, lay the adhesive side down on the phone. It should slide somewhat from the soapy solution. Slide it into place.

Use your fingers to push out any excess water or bubbles that are under the skin. Do this carefully to avoid moving the skin from its place. A credit card can be used for any bubbles that are hard to get out. For a skin with a flap that must be folded over, let it sit for 20 minutes before folding over and pressing into place for 30 seconds.

Set aside your phone to dry completely once you have applied the front and back skins. It typically takes 24 hours for the skins to dry fully. Do not power on the phone until the skins are dry, because the phone emits heat, which will hamper the setting up of the skins on your phone.
