How to Get a Guy Out of Your Head
If you feel strongly about a guy and it does not work out between you, it can be very difficult to stop thinking about him. Whether you have recently broken up or you were unsuccessful in asking him out, it will be impossible to move on if you don't first get him out of your head. Depending on the length of the relationship and the strength of your feelings, it will take a variable matter of time to stop thinking about him. There are, however, a few simple steps to help quicken the process.

1
Remove anything you have that reminds you of the guy. This includes photos, notes, text messages on your phone and anything else that reminds you of him. Place material items in a box if you do not want to throw them away, but put the box far from reach in an attic or closet. It will be easier to get him out of your head if you do not see constant reminders of him throughout your day.

2
Join a club. Replace the time you spent with him or thinking about him with a new activity. Find a club that fits your interest and sign up. Alternatively, sign up for something that is completely new. Use your need for distraction as a positive opportunity to learn about or try something new. Attending the club will help keep you busy and cut down on time you spend thinking of him.

Exercise outside or at your local gym. Getting yourself into shape will help both your mind and your body. The natural endorphins you get from working out will help improve your attitude, confidence and stop you from dwelling on the guy.

4
Surround yourself with a positive support system, such as your friends and family. These people are close to you and care about your well-being. They will help distract you and encourage you to get the guy out of your head and move on.
