Stamp Glitter Instructions

Add a little bling to your handmade cards or scrapbook pages with glittered stamp images. Adhesives and glitters made especially for stamping projects will result in a successful outcome. Stamping adhesives allow the glitter to cling to the stamped image, while the glitter is a fine powdery mix of glitter and glue dust. When activated by heat, the combination will become sticky and meld together. This process will prevent your finished glitter project from continuously shedding glitter.

Things You'll Need

• Rubber stamp
• Rubber stamp glue pad
• Project paper
• Heat embossing gun
• Printer paper
• Heatable stamping glitter
• Soft-bristle paintbrush

Instructions

1. Press your stamp into a rubber stamp glue pad.

2. Press the stamp on your project paper.

3. Place the stamped paper on a heat safe surface. Heat the stamped glue image for a few seconds using a heat embossing gun. This will help activate the tackiness of the adhesive.

4. Fold a sheet of printer paper in half and crease. Unfold the paper. Place the glue stamped project on the paper.

5. Sprinkle a heatable stamping glitter over the stamped image. Shake off the excess glitter from the project and onto the printer paper. Pick up the printer sheet and line up one end of the crease with your glitter jar. Shake the excess glitter back into the jar.

6. Place the stamped paper on your heat-safe surface. Heat the glittered image for a few seconds using a heat embossing gun to activate the adhesive in the glitter. This will set the glitter and prevent it from shaking off.

7. Brush off loose glitter particles that have clung to the project paper due to static cling using a soft-bristle paintbrush.

8. Clean the stamp immediately with soap and water to remove the glue residue.
