How to Speed Internet Explorer 8 Up
Released in March 2009, Internet Explorer 8 is designed for faster and more efficient Web browsing, though you might still encounter problems with the browsing speed. If you use Explorer 8 for everyday Internet surfing and would like more speed, there are a few procedures that should do the job.

Launch Internet Explorer 8. If you do not have a shortcut of the program in your desktop, click "Start," "Programs" and "Internet Explorer."

Click "Tools," "Internet Options," "Browsing History Settings," then set the "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to "Automatically." This lets the browser store copies of Web pages for faster viewing in case you view them again.

Let the browser download more files at a time. Click "Start" and type "regedit" in the search box. Select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_MAXCONNECTIONSPERSERVER." Click "Edit," "New" and "DWORD Value." Type "iexplorer.exe" (with the quotation marks), then hit "Enter." Double-click on the new entry, choose "Base" under "Decima,l" and type "10" as the value data.

Delete all temporary Internet files. Select "Tools" and "Delete Browsing History." Click the check box for "Temporary Internet Files" and select "Delete."

Disable pop-ups. Click "Tools," Internet Options" and "Privacy," then click the check box for "Turn on pop-up blocker."

Click "Tools" and "Manage Add-ons." Scroll through the list of add-ons installed and select the ones you do not need. Select "Disable."

Select "Accelerators" in the left corner of the "Add-ons" window and choose the ones you do not need. Click "Disable" or "Remove."
