How to Change a Name on AdSense

Google AdSense is a pay-per-click ad delivery system for website owners and bloggers. Google does not allow you to transfer or sell your AdSense account to someone else; however, if you want to change your account name to correct a misspelling or to mark a legal name change -- for instance, because of a marriage -- Google makes it simple for you to do so. You can change the name in your AdSense account manager without having to send in any documents detailing the name change.

Instructions

1. Sign in to your Google AdSense account. Click on the "My Account" tab on the navigation bar.

2. Scroll down to the "Payee Information" section. Click on "Edit Payee Name."

3. Read the terms and conditions and click the box to agree to the terms. Google explains that you cannot change your name for the purpose of transferring the account to someone else, and you will have to re-enter your tax information.

4. Type the new name in the "New Payee Name" box. Click "Save Changes."

5. Enter your tax information, such as your address and Social Security number. Click "Submit."
